Le mans Classics was inspired my love for classic endurance cars that wrote history. This includes the Ferrari 330 p4, the Ferrari 512M and original 1957 Ferrari Testarossa.

Ferrari 330p4
The Ferrari 330 P4 demonstrates a rare balance of delicacy, poise, expressed through its hand-hammered and riveted body panels. Its body lines and form language feel like a true race car yet it carries the presence of a starship—an artisanal object made before the digital age in 1967 that shaped by both aerodynamic necessity and human touch.
Developed during the Ford vs Ferrari rivalry, it reflects the combined input of drivers, engineers, and designers working at the edge of available technology. The car embodies the hearts and minds of talented individuals experimenting in real time, resulting in a machine defined by both performance and what a Ferrari should feel like.

Tooling x Coupling
By retooling an existing sculpt of a 330 p4, I was able to shrink the model to be 1/64 scale of the original car using Rhino. Through the processing of re-meshing important details faded that needed to be adjusted manually. For ease of assembly I chose to use rare earth magnets to attach the 3D printed shell to the existing remote control chassis .

Chop n Swap
Repurposing the 3D Chassis, I realized there opportunity to repeat the design process and end up with a system to swap different car shells, like skins in a video game. The magnets made it easy to ‘chop and swap’ the exterior of the RC car whenever it needed a refresh.
